چکیده

Cancer is one of the leading causes death worldwide, with a mortality rate more than 9 million deaths reported in 2018. Conventional anti-cancer therapy can greatly improve survival however treatment resistance still major problem especially metastatic disease. Targeted increasingly used conventional to patients’ outcomes advanced and tumors. However, due complexity cancer biology metastasis, it urgent develop new agents evaluate efficacy available treatments. Many phytochemicals from medicinal plants have been possess properties. One such compound known as oridonin, bioactive component Rabdosia rubescens. Several studies demonstrated that oridonin inhibits angiogenesis various types cancer, including breast, pancreatic, lung, colon skin cancer. Oridonin’s effects are mediated through modulation several signaling pathways which include upregulation oncogenes pro-angiogenic growth factors. Furthermore, also cell migration, invasion metastasis via suppressing epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition blocking downstream targets process. This review summarizes recent applications an anti-angiogenic anti-metastatic drug both vitro vivo, its potential mechanisms action.

The Anti-Proliferative and Anti-Angiogenic Effect of the Methanol Extract from Brittle Star

Background: Anti-angiogenic therapy is a crucial step in cancer treatment. The discovery of new anti-angiogenic compounds from marine organisms has become an attractive concept in anti-cancer therapy. Because little data correlated to the pro- and anti-angiogenic efficacies of Ophiuroidea, which include brittle star, the current study was designed to explore the anti-angiogenic potential of bri...
